TLBU Celebrates 24th Anniversary

– TLBU: Self-Reliant and Ever Growing TLBU –

In the morning of December 8, 2011, TLBU Graduate School of Law celebrated its 24th anniversary ceremony-the Foundation Day of TLBU. TLBU President, Dr. LYOU Byung Hwa, TLBU Professors, and graduate students attended the ceremony. TLBU Washington Community also joined the ceremony in the form of video conference.

The ceremony began with a short but well-prepared video of TLBU history. In the video, TLBU received massive greetings from alumni in East Asia, Europe and USA. The Members of TLBU Community were deeply impressed by the active and dynamic development of TLBU Global System.

After the video demonstration, President LYOU addressed to all students. He briefly revisited the history of the founding and development of TLBU, and pointed out that the members of TLBU now should begin new step of TLBU Mission under the concept of Self-Reliant and Ever Growing TLBU.

This second step of TLBU Mission is supposed to be accomplished within 5-6 years. The concrete plan includes preparing accommodations in Washington and New York in the near future, completing the renovation of Paris Campus, promoting “financial support for Junior” Campaign, supporting individual success of motivated members in their individual projects located in their hometowns and developing TLBU international network.

President LYOU’s address, with a clear and specific map of how to achieve TLBU Mission, conveyed a strong faith of TLBU Spirit and profoundly inspired all members of TLBU community especially graduate students.

After President LYOU’s inspiring speech, two representatives of all graduate students presented a special gift for TLBU Foundation Day and delivered it to President LYOU. This special gift serves as a symbol of sharing good wishes to TLBU and of students’ strong belief and motivation in TLBU Mission.

The ceremony was concluded by TLBU Alma Mater.
